We support the efforts of the University of Duisburg-Essen, to improve the teaching through consistent use of digital technologies on contemporary levels. Therefore, our courses are supplemented by an extensive range on the learning platfrom moodle.

Supported by the advertised promotion for innovative projects through the Center of Development of Higher Education and Quality the Field of Rainwater Treatment was established in WS 07/08. The Fields of Waste Water Treatment and Drinking Water Treatment, Drinking Water Supply and Waste Management follow successively. 

In addition, the Bachelor's exam in Municipal Water Management WS 07/08 was tested as a fully electronic exam at the computer for the first time. The positive experiences have led to the establishment that all Bachelor's exams at the Department in SS 08 were held as online exams.

Our Department was one of the first at the University of Duisburg-Essen, which successfully used the examination software of the company LPlus.
