Zi Wang awarded by European Commission
Zi Wang has been awarded the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship by the European Commission
After a rigorous five-month selection process, Zi Wang’s application received a favourable score of 96,8/100, putting him at the top 3 % of all social science applicants in the 2019 competition round. He will take up his fellowship in September 2021 at the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilisations (INALCO) in Paris, France.
Fully funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, the Individual Fellowships aim to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, as well as diversify individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training, international and intersectional mobility. In 2019, a total of 1740 proposals were submitted to the social science panel. With a funding cut-off point of 93/100, the success rate was 13 %.
