After finishing my undergraduate degree in Bochum with a focus on Political Science and Japan, I did my MA degree in Japanese studies (Japan/IR) in the Netherlands at Leiden Universitiy. During both my BA and MA studies I spent a year each in Japan for further studies and research. Since 2009, I have been a part of the IN-EAST in different positions and functions and have taught at both BA and MA level.
Since 2017, I am coordinating the institute’s MA programs and serve as contact person for enrolled students and applicants while regularly teaching the OA 2 module in our BA Moderne Ostasienstudien.
