25th – 27th September 2024 Conference

Workshop Fees

A fee of 350 EUR is requested to attend the workshop. The fee includes lunch during the duration of the workshop and the gala dinner.

Workshop subject

Multiphase flow phenomena are ubiquitous in many fields of industry. They can be found in traditional fields of chemical,
nuclear and oil industries but also in emerging fields of the green industry. Multiphase flow encompasses a number of subjects,
from the nearly homogeneous flow, as developed in long transport lines of gas-liquid-solid mixtures or in short in-plant circuits, to completely separated flows, as in the case of nuclear or gas fluidized reactors. Furthermore, the scientific knowledge behind
multiphase flow technology spans different disciplines such as fluid mechanics, transport phenomena, equipment design, surface
thermodynamics, sprays, etc.

Topics

Authors interested in presenting their work during the workshop are invited to send an abstract of 200 words in English (max. 1 page including figures in pdf format) to the Organizing Committee (multiphase@uni-due.de).
Abstracts are expected to include either numerical simulations, experimental work, the development of original mathematical modeling or a suitable combination of them. Abstracts are not only expected to present results and achievements but may also describe unsolved problems within their context. The selection criteria will be based on the relevance of the work with regard to the workshop subject, as well as on originality and quality of the technical or scientific contribution or on the interest of the unsolved problems proposed. Final contributions to the workshop will be given through an oral presentation of 20 min. English will be the official language of the MULTIPHASE Workshop.
The spirit of MULTIPHASE is based on promoting discussions, the exchange of points of views and ideas regarding complex, technical and scientific  subjects, as well as to promote and inspire collaboration and cooperation between all participants.
