Walking Machines
Area: | Control and regulation of hydraulically propelled legs of a large walking robot |

If large forces are necessary hydraulic drives are usually the first choice. The advantages of hydraulic servo systems are that they require less space and power than other systems, and can generate very large forces. Different regulation strategies are utilized to find the optimal default speed profile. Since not all relevant conditions of the drives can be detected by sensors, adaptive observers are designed to identify them.
