Research in 3D nanomagnetism, driven by advanced nanofabrication methods and novel experimental 3D magnetization visualization methods, has revealed new nanostructures and physics beyond those in 1D and 2D. Of particular interest are magnetic Hopfions, i.e., 3D topological magnetic textures that are essentially closed, knotted loops of twisted Skyrmion strings. The focus of my research is to investigate the statics and dynamics of magnetic Hopfions.
