Delivering freight – better, smarter and more sustainably

Weastflows project final conference

The Weastflows (West and East flows) project, with participation of ZLV member Prof. Dr. Rudolf Juchelka, has explored ways to improve freight logistics operations in North West Europe. This closing conference will explain the project’s findings and results, including work to shift goods from road haulage to more sustainable modes such as by rail, short sea shipping and river transportation.

The event represents a major opportunity to share best practices delivered by leading industry players and the project’s partners. The event will also hear from leading authorities in logistics field to discuss and debate the challenges and future opportunities to achieve more sustainable, efficient and innovative freight system in Europe.

The conference will take place on 12 February 2015, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm im Brussels, Belgium.
