German-Arab Knowledge Transfer Colloquium: “Resilience of Industrial Urban Systems”
Starting November 30th, 2015 a colloquium titled “German-Arab Knowledge Transfer Colloquium”, which is financed by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD with funds from the German Federal Foreign Office, will take place at the coordinating offices of the Centre for Logistics & Traffic (ZLV). In this colloquium, three groups consisting of experts and students from Tunisia, Jordan and Morocco have been invited to participate.
The interdisciplinary scientific focus of the colloquium revolves around the main topic “Resilience of Industrial Urban Systems” and targets mainly urban challenges in the MENA region while presenting best practices from Germany. However, the overall goal is to intensify the scientific network of researchers between the participating partner institutions for further collaboration and structural development with the main focus on the participation of students and young researchers.
The goals of the project are going to be achieved by a series of measures during the five-day colloquium in Germany. These measures consist of sessions in both scientific and social aspects relative to the colloquium’s goals that are going to be carried out by both lecturers and students and through several collaborative activities such as project presentations and group discussions. And at the end of the colloquium, there will be a final wrap-up of the activities’ results in order to establish the colloquium’s impact.
