Your main tasks
- You will work in the BMWK project EfEMOD (Empirically founded electricity market modeling with open data) on the research and further development of fundamental, statistical-econometric and data science methods for modeling electricity markets
- You will cooperate closely with first-class researchers in the specialist community
- In addition, you will be involved in the implementation and realization of study courses and administrative tasks.
Your profile
- Completed university studies in university degree in statistics/data science, (business) mathematics, (business) engineering, (business) informatics, (quantitative) economics or similar of at least 8 semesters
- You are interested in energy industry issues, interdisciplinary work and the development of statistical, data-based or mathematical models and their implementation with the help of appropriate software
- in addition, you already have good knowledge of statistics, econometrics or data science as well as knowledge of R, Python or C++
- Initial experience in analyzing energy industry problems is an advantage
- You communicate fluently in German and English or are prepared to learn to do so.
