My research primarily centers on the methodological aspects of DNA metabarcoding. This encompasses protocol refinement in the laboratory and the creation of bioinformatic pipelines tailored for the efficient analysis of DNA metabarcoding datasets. Furthermore, I am dedicated to standardizing DNA metabarcoding protocols through the integration of pipetting robots and other automation-friendly devices, thus streamlining our workflows.
A central focus of my work involves investigating methods to derive quantitative data from DNA metabarcoding datasets, advancing our ability to extract meaningful insights from complex genetic information. An essential aspect of this endeavor involves the efficient analysis of community composition to protect the environment, ensuring that our methodologies contribute to the preservation and understanding of ecological systems.

Meine Forschung konzentriert sich hauptsächlich auf methodische Aspekte des DNA-Metabarcodings. Dies umfasst die Optimierung und Entwicklung von Protokollen im Labor und die Entwicklung bioinformatischer Pipelines, die auf die effiziente Analyse von DNA-Metabarcoding-Datensätzen zugeschnitten sind. Darüber hinaus widme ich mich der Standardisierung von DNA-Metabarcoding durch die Integration von Pipettierrobotern, um unsere Arbeitsabläufe zu optimieren.
Ein zentraler Schwerpunkt meiner Arbeit besteht darin, Methoden zur Ableitung quantitativer Daten aus DNA-Metabarcoding-Datensätzen zu untersuchen, um unsere Fähigkeit zur Ableitung aussagekräftiger Erkenntnisse aus komplexen genetischen Informationen zu verbessern. Ein wesentlicher Aspekt dieses Vorhabens besteht in der effizienten Analyse der Gemeinschaftszusammensetzung zum Schutz der Umwelt, um sicherzustellen, dass unsere Methoden zum Erhalt und zum Verständnis ökologischer Systeme beitragen.
