There will be no busservices between the campuses from Monday, 23 December 2024 up to and including Friday, 3 January 2025.

Changes to the UDE shuttle at the Duisburg campus

  • From 6 November, there will be no stop at the DVG bus stops on bus route 933 "Uni Nord" in both directions.
  • The DVG stops on bus route 933 "Duisburg Universität" will continue to be served in both directions.
  • In addition, the DVG stops on bus route 936 "Uni Nord-Lotharstraße" will be served in both directions.

The shuttle bus between the campuses will not run from 27 to 29 December.

Attention:

Due to the current roadworks and closure of the A40 and A52 motorways from Essen, there will be delays to shuttle buses between the Duisburg and Essen campuses up to and including next week, some of which may be considerable.

As the closures also have an impact on the city area in Essen, there is unfortunately no satisfactory solution for this period.

We ask you to take this into account in your planning as far as possible and ask for your understanding. Thank you very much.

Direct connection Special bus

Quick and comfortable from campus to campus: students and staff of the University of Duisburg-Essen can commute with a special bus line between the two locations within 20 minutes for free.

The buses are barrier-free and offer seating for 40 people. Registration is not required. The previous shuttle service is dropped.
