Professor Plummer is happy to supervise research projects on English and Postcolonial literatures and cultures from the eighteenth century to the present. She is particularly interested in supervising theses on the literature and culture of England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, South Asia (India, Pakistan), and welcomes proposals related to her fields of special interest, e.g. travel literature, Orientalism and ambiguity; museums and cultural heritage; lifewriting, migration and exile; women's and gender studies; crime fiction, popular and visual culture (see also Prof. Plummer's expertise summary).
