The electrical properties of Millipore water in our lab.
In the electrochemical laboratory, we use Millipore water. This is fully deionized water treated by a Millipore system. Its conductivity should ideally be 0.055 micro Siemens/cm at room temperature, have a look here .
- However, as you can see in the figure to the right, we start at values ten times higher than this, and at higher temperatures, we observe even larger values.
- Why is that?
- You can find a discussion on this in this Wikipedia article.
- At the end of the Wikipedia article, you'll also find values measured in the laboratory in Essen on GitHub.
- Have a look, try the download and plot it in Igor.
