The internet platform Gender Portal is an important tool for gender equality-oriented knowledge management at the UDE. The portal provides information and materials on the topics of gender mainstreaming, equality, the advancement of women, studies and teaching, as well as results of women's and gender research.

Central components of the gender portal are:

• the gender course catalogue
• the "News" section, which announces UDE-specific news and events on the topic of "gender" or "gender/gender relations",
• as well as a page with Germany-wide and also international events on the topics of gender and equality.

This offer is addressed to all members of the UDE , i.e.:

• Teachers,
• researchers,
• students,
• staff in the administration and in the university management,
• as well as all other interested parties.

The gender portal was initiated in 2005 and has been regularly updated since then.
In the context of the Total E-Quality award, the gender portal was explicitly recognised as a quality feature of the UDE.  In addition, the gender portal is listed as a model example in the DFG's toolbox.
