for the subproject "Information Management and Information Infrastructure (INF)" of the DFG Collaborative Research Center CRC 1430 "Molecular Mechanisms of Cell State Transitions." The biomedical CRC 1430 investigates fundamental questions about switch-like mechanisms of cell state transitions and cell cycle progression to potentially reveal novel therapeutic strategies for neoplastic diseases. In this interdisciplinary research environment, scientists from the fields of Biology, Chemistry, and Medicine at the UDE, the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology in Dortmund, and the universities of Dortmund, Cologne, Münster, and Frankfurt work closely together.

The INF project develops the appropriate infrastructure for data handling storage, and documentation in close cooperation with the Research Data Services of the UDE and implements it. A focus is on the management of microscopy data, which is established at the Imaging Center Campus Essen (ICCE) using the OMERO software.

The INF project is part of a dynamic interdisciplinary environment and offers numerous opportunities to work at the interface of biomedical research, information sciences, and computer science.
