The working group for "Nanomaterials in Aquatic Systems" at UDE is part of the Faculty of Chemistry. With 27 professors, the Faculty of Chemistry is one of the largest chemistry faculties in Germany and offers 3 study programs under one roof: Chemistry, Water-Science and Chemistry Teaching.

Your main tasks

You will take on research tasks in the DFG project "Multifunctional photoactive nanocarriers for the degradation of bacterial biofilms".

Your profile

- Above-average university degree in biology, chemistry or related fields with a Master of Science qualification.

- Ability to carry out photobiological experiments with bacteria in both the planktonic and biofilm state.

- Good knowledge or willingness to delve into the fields of photochemistry and nanosciences.

- The evaluation and documentation of results, writing manuscripts for publication.

- Strong communication skills.

- Very good English skills.

- Ability to work in a team in an international environment.

- Goal-oriented, structured and self-reliant way of working, an appropriate contribution to the maintenance of laboratory operations is expected.

- Openness to new developments and creative solutions.
