Prof. Dr. Jutta Geldermann

Prof. Dr. Jutta Geldermann was appointed to be professor for Business Administration and Production Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2018. After her diploma degree in industrial engineering, obtaining her doctorate and postdoctoral lecturing qualification at the University of Karlsruhe (now KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), she was Chair Holder and Professor of Production and Logistics at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen from 2006 to 2018. Her research focuses on the modelling and optimisation of sustainable production and logistics systems, including the use of methods for multi-criteria decision support and life-cycle assessment (LCA). She has successfully conducted more than 50 research projects on resource and energy efficiency, funded by industry, DFG, Volkswagen Foundation, the European Union (EU) and various ministries. She is currently President of the German Academic Association of Business Research (VHB), Editor-in-Chief of the EURO Journal on Decision Processes (EJDP) and Board Member of GOR (German Association of Operations Research).
