Linguistic Alignment
Within the research area „Linguistic Alignment with virtual agents/robot“ we study how people align linguistically towards agents and robots during interaction and how they evaluate different verbal agent/robot behavior.
Focus of research
Besides classic experiments in which we examine whether, ho wand to what extend people align to artificial entities, we also conduct more applied experiments and explore the potential use of alignment processes in HCI to increase participants’ German language skills.
