  • 3 semesters (18 Months): Start on 1 April of the year, Ends in October of the following year
  • 4 semesters (24 months): Start on 1 October of the year, Ends in October of the year after next

Preliminary note

This degree program is being phased out. Enrolment in the variant with 90 ECTS is possible until the end of the enrolment period of the winter semester 2024/2025, for the variant with 60 ECTS until the end of the enrolment period of the summer semester 2025.

Description

The International Medical College IMC® performs postgraduate international Master's courses using a blended learning concept; theoretical contents (basic course and specialization course) are conveyed through our e-learning platform e-med via the internet, together with practical clinical courses, advanced trainings, lectures and seminars in our own virtual conference system. The basic course and the specialization course concludes with an exam. In addition the students have to write a master thesis and to pass the final oral exam.
Attendance in Germany is necessary for two times for practical training blocks and one time for completion of studies with final exam.

Admission

1. general or relevant subject-linked higher education entrance qualification

2. proof of a national university degree in medicine (stomatology) or dentistry corresponding to at least 300 credits according to the ECTS standard.

3. The respective examination board decides on the determination of the admission requirements and in particular the equivalence of foreign degrees and other qualifications acquired abroad.

Note: The web-based basic modules ensure, after successful completion, that a uniform prerequisite also exists for participants from abroad for the specialisation modules.

Language requirements

The course is offered in German and English language.
The master study requires a satisfactory level of German/English.

Your English skills should be at least on the B-Level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR). There is no certificate necessary.

Costs

3 Semester Course: The participant is obliged to pay tuition fees of EUR 9,315.00 / semester. This results in a sum of Tuition fees of EUR 27,945.00 €

4 Semester Course: The participant is obliged to pay tuition fees of EUR 9,315.00 / semester. This results in a sum of Tuition fees of EUR 37,260.00 €

Network and Careers (+) (+)

This master course is an additional qualification for licensed dentists in the fields of specialized orthodontics and orthognatic surgery.

(Please note, that for to work as a dentist in Germany you have to do the equivalence exam to get the German approbation at the local government. Different regulations apply to the equivalence exam for different countries of origin.)
