The Water Graduate School (WGS) offers a structured program for (post)doctoral researchers in the field of water research and is open for all early career researchers from the ZWU network. The WGS is coordinated by the Centre for Water and Environmental Research (ZWU) and embedded in the strategic research area „Water Research“ at the University of Duisburg-Essen. 

The need for academic, interdisciplinary trained specialists in the water sector is greater than ever today. With a focus on water research, the university offers young people who are interested in working in this area a variety of options in several study programs.

The ZWU is awarding the Young Scientist Award (YSA) for outstanding students and young scientists in the field of water and environmental research.

The prize is awarded to theses (master/magister/diploma/state examination) and dissertations that were completed at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
