CV Stefan Panglisch
Stefan Panglisch has been responsible for the Chair Mechanical Process Technology/Water Technology (MVT/WT) at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) since June 2014. He is responsible for the international Master program “Management and Technology of Water and Wastewater” at UDE.
Associated with the professorship is a position as scientific director at the Rheinisch-Westphalian Institute for Water Research (IWW), a nationally and internationally renowned research and consulting institute. Further on he is the manager of the German Society for Membrane Technology (DGMT) and member of the Working Committee Water of the DVGW German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water, which is responsible for the preparation of the technical regulations in the field of drinking water treatment.
Until he took up the chair, Stefan Panglisch was head of the R&D department at inge GmbH (since 2020 a subsidiary of DuPont and one of the world's leading technology providers for ultrafiltration technology). During his time as head of R&D he was intensively involved in the new and further development of membrane materials, module housings and the operating modes of ultrafiltration modules. His responsibilities at inge GmbH also included the optimization of production processes and plants. Prior to this, Stefan Panglisch was responsible for the water technology division at the IWW for more than a decade, and in this capacity has carried out numerous research and consulting projects.
