Surface Harmonics & Attosecond Pulses

 The generation of attosecond light pulses offers a spectacular extension to the field of ultrafast science. Such pulses can provide enough temporal resolution for the direct observation of electron motion in nanostructures, molecules, and atom inner shells. We investigate the attosecond pulse production using high order harmonic generation from solids in the relativistic as well as in the non-relativistic regimes.
