Courses we offer
BioEM (Master Curriculum-Biomedical Engineering):
In the BioEM course, Prof. Dr. sc. tech. Daniel Erni introduces the field of bioEM to students starting from the fundamentals of electromagnetic field interaction with biological tissues, modelling and characterization of a given biological element up to discussing active research topics in the field. The course is held in a friendly environment where questions and discussions are most welcomed.
RingVorlesung (Bachelor Curriculum-Biomedical Engineering):
The Ring lecture, “Selected chapters of Medical Technology” offers a series of lectures on various areas of medical technology. In this series of seminars, various experts in the field of medial technology will introduce their field of research and discuss the state-of-the-art in their corresponding field. The course is interesting for those who want to get to know various fields of the vast realm of medical technology and choose which topics attracts them the most.
IMPS (Bachelor Curriculum-Biomedical Engineering):
The IMPS, “Introduction to Multiphysics Simulation” is a “learn by doing” based lecture which introduces modelling and simulation of biomedical Multiphysics problem using COMSOL as the simulation software. The students, after learning the concept and importance of each simulation task, start modelling step by step under the supervision of the lecturer. The course is fun for those that enjoy working with computer, and is also a good way for students to prepare themselves for their thesis or later finding a job as , modelling and simulation are a big part of any research.
