14 February 2025Successful Participation at the Eukaryotic Microbiology Conference
Our research group had a strong presence at the Eukaryotic Microbiology Conference in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, presenting four posters and two talks.
We are proud to share that our contributions were well received, with Dana winning a prize for her talk and Xenia receiving a poster award.
Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding work and recognition!!
14 November 2024First PARC Meeting
The first meeting of the inter-departmental collaborative group successfully met under the consortium name Protist - Algae Research Collaboration (PARC).
The PARC has its constituents as:
- Central Collection of Algal Cultures (CCAC); Dr. Olga Matantseva
- Biodiversity; Prof. Dr. Jens Boenigk
- Phycology; Prof. Dr. Bank Beszteri
- Eukaryotic Microbiology; Prof. Dr. Sonja Rückert
21-23 May 2024Lab Retreat 2024 to Ahrweiler
The retreat included visits to the Effelsberg Radio Telescope, the Geopfad in Schuld, a Roman museum, and a German bunker. We also enjoyed some excellent wine and relaxed group games, alongside truly insightful group discussions.
