General Information

Fees:

The fee for the seven-week CENIDE Nano Summer Program is €3,000. This includes:

• language and culture program
• excursions
• lectures
• research projects
• industry visits
• accommodation in single rooms
• health insurance
• free public transportation in complete North Rhine-Westphalia
• enrollment at UDE
• program materials
• transcript of records

The participants will be given payment instructions following acceptance to the program.

Scholarships:

A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to exceptional applicants to cover one half of the program fee (€1,500). Students who would like to be considered for a scholarship should indicate this in the cover letter of their application. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Program Committee.

Academic Credit:

Each participant will receive a transcript of records recommending up to 10 ECTS credit points for completion of the program (2 ECTS credit points for language and culture, 2 ECTS credit points for lectures, 5 ECTS credit points for research project, 1 ECTS credit point for industry). The participants themselves are responsible for arranging the transfer of credits to their home institution.

Traveling to Duisburg and Essen:

Duisburg and Essen are only a short train ride away from the major international airport in Düsseldorf and are also well connected to Frankfurt airport (1.5 hour train ride). Further information regarding traveling:
