Venue and hotel

The DTS 2018 will take place in the Weststadt Carree, Thea-Leymann-Str. 9, 45127 Essen, where the Faculty of Mathematics resides.

Your rooms are in the Holiday Inn Express, Thea-Leymann-Str. 11, which is next door to the maths building.

We have created a map where hotel, maths building and some more places of interest are marked.

Directions for public transport

Usually it's the best to go by Deutschen Bahn to 'Essen Hauptbahnhof'. In a few cases going to 'Essen Altenessen' may be faster. In both cases, you can use any subway (lines U11/U17/U18, in Altenessen only U11) to go to the Station 'Berliner Platz'. From Hauptbahnhof you need a ticket 'Kurzstrecke', 1,60€, From Altenessen you need a ticket 'A3' for 2,80€.

At Berliner Platz use the exit 'Ausgang C (Altendorfer Straße)' and go straight ahead along Altendorfer Straße (between IKEA and Colosseum Theater) towards West. It's approximately 300 meters to the building where the Faculty of Mathematics and Conrad-Elektronik reside. To go to the hotel, turn left into Kurt-Jooss-Str. in front of the math building. The hotel is then on the left-hand side.
