Maria Sibylla Merian-Postdoc Program

In May 2006, the Essen College of Gender Studies launched the Maria Sibylla Merian Post-doc Program. It supports female postdocs on their way to international careers.
Through events on evenings and weekends, lectures by internationally acclaimed scientists, the postdocs are introduced to job perspectives inside and outside university.
Seminars (e.g. acquisition of funding, leadership qualification, or dealing with conflicts) also help build the basis of a successful career in science.
