Research in this cluster focuses on the changing gender balance in leadership positions, the agency of women* and men* in influencing societal change, and the socio-economic and political-societal factors that support or undermine greater participation of women* in leadership positions and men* in domestic and care work. Disciplines represented in the cluster activities include history, sociology, business administration, labour economics, socio-economics, East Asian regional studies, communication and media, and education.
