A major Polish research prize has been awarded to physicist Professor Wolfgang Kleemann, Professor of Applied Physics, by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) in the form of the Alexander von Humboldt Honorary Research Fellowship. The award is worth 36,000 Euros. Professor Kleemann will receive the funding for research stays at the University of Silesia in Katowice to continue the 12 years of close collaboration the UDE scientist has already shared with the Physics Department there, leading to more than 50 joint publications.
