Welcome to the Welcome Service for International Researchers of the University of Duisburg-Essen
We offer services for international researchers (doctoral students, Post-Docs and senior researchers) as well as their host chairs. We support you in preparing and carrying out your stay at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE). We help you with all organisational aspects of your stay at the university and in Germany.

Language Course: Basics of the German Language
November 2024
We are pleased to announce that we will offer our Basic German language course again. The course is designed for complete beginners and will give you the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge of the German language in order to master simple situations in everyday life in Germany.

In November we are offering an Info Event about "Rights and Duties as an Employee". Melanie Goggin and Torsten Schaller, members of the UDE's staff council, will inform international researchers about employment, contracts and much more useful information.
