Students from 130 nations study at the University of Duisburg-Essen, from A for America to C for China and I for India to hn to T for Turkey or Z for Zaire. Young people from all continents come to the centrally located university in the heart of Europe.
Liaison Offices Abroad
Global Alliances UA Ruhr
The University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) maintains international liaison offices. After the location in New York, there has also been such a coordination office in Moscow since 2009, although this partnership has to remain dormant for the time being due to the current situation.
Global Alliances Mercator Offices
The Mercator offices of the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) are located on the campuses of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universitas Indonesia (UI) within the Faculty of Engineering. They ensure a permanent presence of the UDE in the entire "boom" region of Southeast Asia.
Global Alliances AURORA
The network links nine European universities from the Netherlands, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Great Britain and Belgium. One of the founding members - as the only German university - is the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Exchange Programme for Students
ERASMUS Partner Universities
The European Union's ERASMUS programme is aimed at students from EU member countries and countries with which the EU has treaties under the programme. This includes more than 250 Erasmus partner universities from 25 countries.
