"Literature and Media Practice (LuM)" is a two-subject master's programme at the University of Duisburg-Essen that deals with questions of the mediation of literature and has its focus on publishing, newspaper, radio, video practice and science. The courses are taught by lecturers from the Department of German Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen, by renowned lecturers from media practice and by renowned authors of contemporary literature (e.g. as part of the nationally known institution "Poet in Residence"). The LuM degree programme has collaborations with the Universiteit van Amsterdam (NL) and Duke University (USA), among others.
