PhD Researcher

Your main tasks:
Research assistant in the DFG project "Traveling knowledge: the glocalization of medical professional knowledge and practice" (https://www.uni-due.de/soziologie/dfgtravellingknowledge.php ). You conduct research on the inter- and transnational diffusion of standards for treating chronic systolic heart failure with a focus on top cardiology associations in the world.
The position supports further scientific training, with the possibility to participate in a PhD program.
Your profile:
- Very good M.A. degree in social sciences (Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, etc.)
- Knowledge of qualitative research methods relevant to the project
- Experiences in the neoinstitutional world-polity theory or in global diffusion studies will be advantageous
- Knowledge in medical sociology, professional sociology and/or public health/social policy is desired
- Very good written and spoken knowledge of English is required
