Research
Our reseach is concerned with the numerical analysis of finite element methods and their use to study variational problems in many varieties. Particularly we work on the development of reconstruction-based a posteriori error estimators and mixed finite element methods and their analysis. Currently we focus our attention on applications to shape optimization as well as to solid mechanics including hyperelasticity, plasticity and frictional contact.
