Arriving by plane

The nearest airport is Düsseldorf. The cab ride from there to the Duisburg campus costs about 60 euros.

To arrive by public transportation, take the Sky Train to the airport train station; the S-Bahn station between Terminals A and C is not recommended. The fare level required for the ticket is "B" and is valid for "S" (S-Bahn) and "RE" (Regional Express) trains, the latter being faster. Get on one of these trains with a stop in Duisburg Hbf. Depending on the train, the journey takes between 15 and 30 min. From Duisburg Hbf. follow the descriptions under Arrival by train.

Arrival by train

Get off the train at Duisburg Hbf. Since the entrance to the subway is not in the main hall of the station, leave the platform via an escalator at the northern end. You should now see the entrance to the subway station.

Take streetcar 901 in the direction of Zoo/Universität or Mülheim. The next stop is already at street level. Get off the train at the third stop, Zoo/Universität. You are now on Mülheimer Straße. Shortly before, the train passed Lothar Straße. At the corner of Mülheimer Straße and Lothar Straße there are some round buildings. Enter the building via the main entrance in tract MC. Go to the second floor and follow the signs to office MG 263.

Arriving by car

- Arriving from the north/south via the A3 freeway: At the Duisburg-Kaiserberg (DU-Kaiserberg) interchange, first keep in the direction of Essen and then leave the interchange at the DU-Kaiserberg exit.

- Arriving from the east/west via the A40 / A59 freeway: At the Duisburg-Kaiserberg (DU-Kaiserberg) interchange, take the "DU-Kaiserberg" exit. At the end of the exit turn left at the traffic light and follow the sign "Zoo/Universität".

At the turnoff, do not drive in the direction of Duisburg-Zentrum, but continue straight ahead along Carl-Benz Str. This will automatically lead you to the main parking lot of the Duisburg campus after passing a highway bridge. At the parking lot is also directly the building "M", which consists of several round building tracts. Take the entrance at MG and go there to the second floor and follow the signs to the office  MG 263.
