Programme purpose

The aim of the UDE-internal measure is to lead outstanding early career scientists of our university to their first own third-party funding proposal with this initial funding. An academic career should be targeted and the PhD should not be more than four years ago.

Funding is provided for preparatory work leading directly to the independent formulation and application of a first third-party funded project. Staff, material and travel funds can be applied for up to a maximum total amount of 30,000 € to be spent usually within one year.

Programm zur Förderung des exzellenten wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses

Diese UDE-interne Fördermaßnahme richtet sich an Wissenschaftler*innen, die eine akademische Laufbahn anstreben und deren Promotion in der Regel nicht länger als vier Jahre zurückliegt. Weitere Hinweise zur Antragsberechtigung sind dem Leitfaden zu entnehmen.

Anträge im Rahmen dieser 25. Ausschreibungsrunde können über die E-Mailadresse nachwuchsprogramm@uni-due.de eingereicht werden bis spätestens

Mittwoch den 7. März 2018.

Bitte verwenden Sie das untenstehende Antragsformular. Über die Anträge entscheidet die Hochschulleitung nach Vorschlägen der Forschungskommission. Das Begutachtungsverfahren der Forschungskommission sieht zunächst eine schriftliche Auswahlrunde vor. Nach dieser werden ausgewählte Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten eingeladen, ihr Projekt persönlich vorzustellen. Weitere Informationen zur Antragstellung finden Sie in dem kurzen Leitfaden.

Friday, August 31, 2018.

Please use the application form below. An original version of the application should also be submitted, but can also be submitted after the application deadline. Further information on how to apply can be found in the guideline.

The university management decides on funding after proposal of the Commission for Research, Career Development & Science Transfer. The first step of the procedure is an evaluation of the written applications (September 2018). Then selected candidates will be invited to present their project to the Commission in person (probably in November 2018). All applicants are expected to be informed about the decision on their application in December 2018.

Rejected applications can be resubmitted. After the procedure has been completed, a member of the Commission will be available to answer questions on the proposal and evaluation.
