Benefits for members of the University of Duisburg-Essen

Hybrid

  • The contract with Sage entitles UDE authors (corresponding authors) to publish free of charge in selected hybrid journals of the publisher
  • The author fees are paid and financed centrally by the UDE. Invoices are processed by the University Library

Gold Open Access

  • In the Gold Open Access journals, the publisher grants a 20% discount on the publication fee (APC) 
  • Financing up to a maximum of €2000 via the University Library is possible. In this regard, please refer to our funding conditions

Requirements

  • You are a member of the UDE and responsible for submitting the article as corresponding author
  • The University of Duisburg Essen or the University Hospital must be specified as the first affiliation
  • Eligible article types:
    • Original Research Papers, Review Papers, Brief Communications, Short Reports, Case Reports
  • The article must be accepted during the licence period

 

Content

  • approx. 930 hybrid journals
  • List of journals (Premier Package)
  • Exception: Journals of the "Royal Society of Medicine, RSM" and the "Institution of Mechanical Engineers, IMechE" are excluded from free hybrid publishing
