Benefits for members of the University of Duisburg-Essen
Hybrid
- The contract with Taylor & Francis entitles UDE authors (corresponding authors) to publish free of charge in all hybrid journals of the publisher
- The author fees are paid and financed centrally by the UDE. Invoices are processed by the University Library
Gold Open Access
- In the Gold Open Access journals, the publisher grants a 15% discount on the publication fee (APC)
- The invoice will be sent to the University Library. Please note that fees over €2000 must be paid by you. Funding up to a maximum of €2000 is possible via the University Library

Requirements
- You are a member of the UDE and responsible for submitting the article as corresponding author
- UDE students can apply for article funding if a member of the supervising faculty supports or approves the publication of the paper. In these cases, funding is only granted upon application and is decided on a case-by-case basis
- The University of Duisburg-Essen or the University Hospital must be specified as the first affiliation
- Eligible article types:
- Article, Research Article, Review, Review Article, Report, Brief Report, Note, Case Report, Essay, Discussion
