Aurora Exchange Programme

What is the Aurora Exchange Programme (AEP)?

As part of the Aurora European university network, UDE cooperates with universities from Reykjavik to Naples, thus providing you the opportunity to spend a period abroad studying at one of the universities within the network. In contrast to Erasmus, this exchange is based on an agreement that covers all faculties, i.e. it is not limited to a specific discipline. Thus, students of all subjects (with the exception of Medicine and some other specific subjects) can apply for places on the exchange programme. You will have the opportunity to attend classes related to the subjects you study. Application is open until 31 January 2024 for stays during the academic year 2024/25.

Subject-related restrictions

Under all circumstances, please check whether the subject you study is offered at your chosen university and read the application requirements of the individual universities below. Please also find information about the courses offered at the university on your own and discuss questions regarding recognition with the international coordinator for your discipline as necessary. Please also be aware that the semester times at most partner universities are different from those at UDE.

Funding

A place on the Aurora Exchange Programme comes with a waiver of tuition fees and a monthly Erasmus+ grant. Please find further information on Erasmus grant rates in the section on study periods abroad with Erasmus.
