Description: The aim of this thesis is to design and develop a personalized course recommendation system for the University of Duisburg-Essen students. The system will be based on the behaviors and interests of users and will use data on courses attended and course ratings to construct a student model. The system will then recommend a list of courses based on this model, considering the courses attended by relevant students with similar behaviors, as well as other factors such as popularity, description, etc. of courses in the study program. Additionally, the system will provide an intuitive User Interface with visualizations to help students perceive their overall learning path within their study program.
