Short CV
Mohamed Amine Chatti is a professor of computer science and head of the Social Computing Group in the Department of Human-centered Computing and Cognitive Science (HCCS) at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE). He has a diploma degree in computer science from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in 2004 and a Ph.D. in computer science from RWTH Aachen University in 2010. Before joining the UDE, he worked as an assistant professor of computer science in the Learning Technologies Group and as research and development manager of the Center for Innovative Learning Technologies (CiL) at RWTH Aachen University.
With his research group, he explores the fields of data science, AI / recommender systems, HCI, and learning technologies, with a particular interest in intelligent data-intensive systems, human-centered explainable AI, and personalization. He is the author of a large number of highly regarded publications in his field. He has been involved in several application-oriented and interdisciplinary projects at national and international levels.
