Thesis topic:  Visual vs. Textual Explanations in an Educational Recommender System

Description: This thesis focuses on augmenting the educational recommender system in CourseMapper with explanations. The goal is to provide textual and visual explanations to explain to users why a certain item (YouTube videos and Wikipedia articles) is recommended to them. Textual explanations typically offer detailed, narrative-based justifications, while visual explanations use graphical representations such as charts, diagrams, or images to convey the reasoning behind recommendations.
