Description: The thesis aims to enhance student learning experiences in the CourseMapper MOOC platform through the integration of advanced learning analytics indicators. Employing a systematic approach, the thesis delves into existing Learning Analytics Indicators, systematically categorizing them, and subsequently identifying those most conducive to student learning improvement. Through a comprehensive user study, the research uncovers the specific requirements and preferences of CourseMapper users, paving the way for the design and seamless integration of these indicators into the platform. By leveraging the power of xAPI technology, the project seeks to create informative and user-friendly dashboards that empower students with real-time insights, enabling them to make informed decisions about their learning journey. This thesis ultimately contributes to the enhancement of educational outcomes within the CourseMapper environment by providing students with actionable data-driven insights for optimal learning engagement and achievement.
