Research focus (I)Mechanical Behavior of Metallic Materials (MBM)

At MBM group the behavior of various metals and alloys under different loading conditions is investigated. This includes static, dynamic and surface loadings. Here we focus on the relationship between the microstructural characteristics of metallic materials and their mechanical responses to the external loading conditions. The main experimental works are displayed to the left.

Research focus (II)Corrosion, Tribocorrosion and Coatings (CTC)

The group CTC investigates the electrochemical damaging mechanisms of the surfaces and their interaction with the external stresses. Specially, we use different electrochemical techniques to detect and quantify the damage induced by mechanical loadings. Different surface treatments, e.g. metallic and composite coatings are applied and developed to protect the surface from damage. The main experimental works are displayed to the left.
