WE-Africa: Membrane Knowledge Hub: A University-Industry Platform Towards Sustainable Water and Energy Management in Africa
The project aims to establish a Membrane Technology Knowledge hub at the academic partner institutions in Egypt, Ghana, and Morocco. This hub will serve as a platform to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for challenges in the water and energy sectors in Africa. By leveraging the expertise and resources of Germany and other partners, the hub will promote collaboration between local and international industries. A key component of the project is the development and implementation of TVET programs (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) as well as certification systems for African students. Additionally, the project will support knowledge exchange, capacity building, and technology transfer in the field of membrane science and technology, thereby contributing to socioeconomic development and environmental protection in Africa.
