Institut für Energie- und Umwelttechnik e.V. (IUTA): IUTA (Institute for Energy and Environmental Technology) is one of the largest process technology institutes in Germany operating in the area of energy and environmental technology. The focus of the work is on application-oriented R&D projects, in which researchers work with industrial partners to translate scientific findings into new or improved processes or products. In cooperation with universities and colleges, particularly the University of Duisburg-Essen, the staff in the scientific departments also work on answering fundamental scientific questions in the institute’s core areas of work.
Rheinisch-Westfälisches Institut für Wasserforschung: The IWW Water Centre is one of the leading institutes in Germany for research, consulting and services relating to the water supply. IWW shareholders are water supply companies and associations from North Rhine-Westphalia and Hessen.
