Main topic of our lecture series is „Cardiac Ischemia“. In different lectures scientific and medical basics of myocardial infarction as well as the background of the different research projects will be introduced. Lectures will take place on the campus of the University Hospital Essen. Each semester every PhD candidate will give one presentation in this seminar, showing her or his recent results and critically discussing her or his findings with the peers and the PIs. At each seminar at least one basic scientist and one clinician from the group of the PIs will be present.
