Essay Award – Dr. Stefan RinnerEssay Award by The Royal Institute of Philosophy
- Stefan Rinner's essay “Scorekeeping in a Therapeutic Language Game” has won the Philosophy Essay Award by The Royal Institute of Philosophy. It shares first place with “The Emptiness of Naturalism” by Thomas Raleigh. The winning papers will be published in the October issue of the journal Philosophy, published by the Royal Institute of Philosophy.
New MemberDr. Stefan Rinner
- Dr. Stefan Rinner has joined the Research Group as Assistant Professor in April 2024. From October 2024 he will lead a research project (duration phase 1: until September 2026) titled “The Therapeutic Game: The Effectiveness of Psychotherapy Explained Within the Context of Philosophy of Language”. The project is funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation.
New Research ProjectSystematische Analytische Philosophie im Ruhrgebiet – SAPHIR
- In cooperation with Prof. Albert Newen (RUB) and Prof. Katja Crone (TU-Dortmund), Raphael van Riel has raised funds at the Marcator Research Center Ruhr (MERCUR) to carry out the science communication project “Systematische Analytische Philosophie im Ruhrgebiet – SAPHIR”.
