Dr. Sebastian Heidebrecht is a lecturer at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He has specialised in the political economy of European integration and European politics. Together with Michael Kaeding, Sebastian was the editor of a special issue of Credit and Capital Markets – Kredit und Kapital on the political role of the ECB, and his academic work appeared inter alia in the German Journal of Political Science (Zeitschrift für Politikwissenschaft), the Journal of Contemporary European Research and Economic Sociology_The European Electronic Newsletter. Moreover, Sebastian is a frequent guest lecturer on market dynamics at ESSCA Angers and on European politics at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. Prior to his current position, he was head of office (for a high profile MEP) in the European Parliament.
