Research Data Services - a joint service of SSC, University Library & ZIM
Welcome to the RDS!
A service from the University Library, the ZIM & the SSC
Digital data has been an integral part of research processes for a long time. However, handling such research data in a sustainable manner presents challenges at a technical, organisational and semantic level: large volumes of data, documenting of experiments and field tests, the legally compliant handling of sensitive data and options for the publication and subsequent use of data – to name but a few. Research data management provides support for these aspects during your research process.
We provide support for your research data management.

UDE published a policy regarding the handling of research data in its Journal of Legal Notices on 14 February 2019.
Information platform
Digital research data, its organisation, availability for subsequent use and archiving are becoming increasingly important in the context of planning and publishing research projects in all academic disciplines. The main objective of the forschungsdaten.info information platform is to introduce readers to various areas of research data management through practical articles on individual aspects that occur time and again in research. These articles cover the steps involved in planning an application for a research project, implementing and publishing the project and the subsequent use of the research data produced.
